Write a brief the right creators actually find

Most briefs describe a deliverable: “one Reel, food niche, budget X”. The creators who see it are whoever happens to scroll past. On InFluFlu the brief is the matching input, so what you write decides who finds it. The trick is to describe the audience, not the asset.

Describe who you want to reach, in plain words

“Busy parents in Amsterdam who cook on weeknights” is a better brief than “food creator wanted”. Matching reads a creator’s real context: where they live, what they make, who actually follows them. The more precisely you describe the people you want, the more precisely the overlap can be scored. The deliverable still matters, but it filters second, not first.

Give the practical frame

Four fields do most of the routing: niche, content format, location, and budget. A brief with a clear frame lands as an alert for creators whose audience fits, so applicants arrive already matched instead of guessing. Every applicant comes with the overlap spelled out: what matches your brief, how similar their past deals are, and how their audience lines up.

Decide who can see it

A public opportunity sits on the board where any matching creator can apply. An invite-only opportunity is hidden from the board entirely; only the creators you invite ever see it. Use invite-only for confidential launches, public for reach into corners of the platform you would never think to search.

Browsing yourself? Search like you talk

The catalog and creator search understand plain words, and a few operators when you want precision: multiple words must all match, reel OR story matches either, "exact phrase" in quotes matches it literally, -word hides what you don’t want, and skills: scopes to niche and format. The Advanced button fills these in for you. Filters cover the rest: account type (individuals or niche pages), niche, budget, location.

Let the fit come to you

The best brief is one you write once and stop chasing. Matched creators get alerted, applicants arrive ranked by fit with their track record attached, and you shortlist from people who already belong in the campaign. That is the entire point: the brief does the finding.
