Why we built InFluFlu: matching over follower counts

Influencer marketing has a matching problem dressed up as a size problem. Brands filter creator lists by follower count because it is the only number every tool agrees on, then wonder why a hundred DMs produce three replies and one deal that under-delivers. Creators, meanwhile, apply to briefs that were never meant for them, because nothing in the process ever told them so.
We built InFluFlu around a different first question. Not “how many people follow you”, but “who follows you, and who is trying to reach exactly those people”.
Context is the product
A creator on InFluFlu describes their real context by tapping through simple questions: where they live, their stage of life, what they make, and for business creators, their field and the tools they use. A brand describes who it wants to reach. The match happens on overlap. A creator with 620 hyperlocal followers wins the Rotterdam restaurant opening; a creator with two million wins the national campaign. Fit decides, at every size.
Trust is the infrastructure
Matching only matters if the deal that follows is safe. So every deal on InFluFlu runs on the same rails: the budget is funded up front, set aside before the work starts and released on approval, delivered work stays watermarked until approval, silent brands auto-approve after five working days, and reviews are mutual and blind so nobody scores tactically. Follower and engagement stats are self-reported for now and labelled that way, with verified stats from connected accounts on the way, and identity is verified before money moves.
What’s next
We are building for creators and brands across Europe, in five languages (English, Dutch, French, German, and Spanish), with a creator-first mobile app alongside the web platform. This news section is where product updates, research, and announcements will land. If you want to be on the platform when the doors open, joining early access is the best place to start.
